Embark on an unforgettable journey at Nature Adventure Camp! Guided by Paola and Paul, two experienced outdoor educators, your child will delve into hands-on experiences that transcend an ordinary summer. Through thrilling activities like stand-up paddle-boarding, kayaking and snorkeling, campers explore the rich ecosystems that the East End has to offer. Campers will:
  • Discover local wildlife species in their habitat
  • Learn to kayak, paddle board and snorkel while exploring the coastline
  • Investigate the science behind these extraordinary ecosystems
  • Foster a sense of responsibility and care for our natural surroundings
Safety is Top Priority
The camp has an exceptionally high ratio of directors & counselors to campers (2:1) to maintain constant safety. Additionally a certified lifeguard accompanies the camp to each location.

*Although it is impossible to completely eliminate this risk of ticks, the camp is proud to have had 0 ticks found last year. Our protocol: (1) the camp only uses hiking trails that are adequately maintained (2) students where tick spray before hiking (3) directors do tick checks during hikes.

FAQ

Is the camp suitable for all skill levels?
Yes, Nature Adventure Camp is designed to accommodate a range of skill levels and abilities. Our activities are crafted to be both engaging for beginners and challenging for those with more experience.

What safety measures are in place during water activities?
Safety is our top priority. We have a lifeguard certified instructor for water activities, ensure proper safety equipment, and maintain a low camper to instructor ratio to ensure a secure environment.

How are dietary restrictions and allergies handled?
We take dietary restrictions and allergies seriously. Please inform us during registration, and we will work closely with parents to accommodate special dietary needs.

What happens in case of harsh weather?
Safety always comes first. In case of harsh weather, we have alternative indoor activities as well as plans to visit local museums during significantly harsh weather to ensure the best experience for the campers.

How are campers transported to the adventure locations?
The camp works with Montauk Bus Company, who transports all staff and campers to each adventure location and back.

Can I sign up for specific days of the week, or is it a full-week commitment?
No, because space is limited for each session, we require a week-long commitment.

Can I sign my child up for two or more weeks?

Yes! Even if it's the same locations, nature provides different conditions and experiences for campers from week to week.

How can I contact the camp in case of an emergency or if I need to reach my child?
We provide contact information for emergencies, and our staff is available to assist parents. Rest assured, we prioritize open communication and will keep you informed.

What should my child bring to camp each day?
A detailed list of required items will be provided upon registration. Generally, children should come (1) dressed with a baiting suit on under comfortable clothing, (2) water bottle [we provide filtered water fill ups throughout camp], (3) sunscreen, (4) bug spray [unless you are ok with them using the camp's "Off! Deep Woods"] and any specific items mentioned in the daily itinerary.
